Christmas starts with a Bang!!
Our first seasonal event this year was the Hampshire Freemason's annual Christmas carol service. This took place on Advent Sunday in the beautiful St Andrew's church in the centre of Bournemouth.
We have had many new choir members join, and this year we fielded our biggest choir ever at this venue. We sang carols and Christmas songs with our wonderful accompanist, Ewa, performing superbly on both piano and organ.
We were welcomed by a full church congregation and friends of Wessex Chorus, to join in the seasonal readings and Xmas celebration. Supported by Bournemouth’s deputy Mayor Anne Filer and Mayor’s Consort, along with grand masters and other dignitaries.
Thank you everyone for the generous collection - each year it is higher! - and thank you for the refreshments following the service which were yummy.
