Bournemouth Blind Society’s Charity Concert with Wessex Chorus on Saturday 20th July was a great success!
The concert started promptly at 6:30pm with our first song and welcome from Philip of BBS, followed by a great evening of singing by the choir and sing-a-longs by the audience.
The programme was a broad cross section of fun and frolics, with items from Rutter classics, popular songs, songs from the shows and the movies, to sing-a-longs with a Neil Diamond Medley and ending with a traditional gospel number.
The choir ladies and gentlemen sported their new uniform and looked fantastic in blue. Thank you to our seamstress for all her hard work in getting so many ladies' tops ready for our first concert of the year. Thank you also to our Accompanist Ewa who was her usual wonderful self.
The concert raised over £600 for the Bournemouth Blind Society!!
Thank you to Philip and his team for the tasty refreshments in the interval, and to our amazing raffle team with such superb prizes that raised much needed funds for our choir.
The evening ended with a very generous retiring collection for our charity SPEAR of over £40.
So kind! Thank you to our supporters!
