A traditional Carol Concert.
If you want a traditional 9 Lessons and Carols, this was the event to go to. It was wonderful! Many dignitaries were present, including the current Mayor of Bournemouth: Councillor Anne Filer.
Our hosts at the Richmond Hill, St Andrew’s URC, made the event very special and magical. The choir performed a large variety of festive carols and music, with our accompanist providing rousing voluntaries for the Processional and Recessional, along with both fantastic organ and piano playing to support the choir and congregation alike.
The Choir sang beautifully from the well placed organ stalls, producing a well rounded and enjoyable sound. The Mayor and congregation were very appreciative and clapped at the end of the service, giving lovely reviews to Martin Arthur, our Choir Director. The service was such a magical event, and the choir really rose to the occasion to give one of their best performances ever at this venue, along with adding their full harmonised sound to the many congregational carols, making the whole event so Christmassy.
